Congratulations Martin! March’s Nurse of the Month

March’s Nurse of the Month: Martin

This is following some fantastic feedback we have received, that came directly from a client. We caught up with Martin to see how he feels about being our Nurse of the Month.

SNG: How long have you been working with the Guild?
Martin: I’ve been working with the Guild since October 2020

SNG: What do you enjoy most about being a nurse?
Martin: The variety of work and areas I’ve been able to gain exposure. Currently, I’m doing community work as an OPAT nurse, and love to see the benefits of getting patients back in their homes.

SNG: What attracted you to join the Guild?
Martin:
The pay rates. I remember working as a care assistant and on the same ward, there was a Guild nurse. She was doing her job like she had been there for decades and I learned she came halfway across the country to do the shift, and the standard she worked to was great. I wanted to aspire to be as confident as she was in the job.

SNG: How do you feel about being our Nurse of the Month?
Martin:
Shocked at first but I am so happy to feel valued by the Guild team. It really makes me feel as if the job I’m doing is genuinely valued and not just a number in the system.

Thank you, Martin and congratulations! You deserve it!
