Congratulations Sinèad! Republic of Ireland’s Nurse of the Month in aid of International Nurses’ Day. We caught up with Sinèad on her win.

How long have you been working with the Guild?

I’ve only recently joined the Guild at the start of this year, and I’ve been a nurse for over 6 years now.

What do you enjoy most about being a nurse?

what I enjoy most is meeting new people, being able to work in multiple hospitals. I enjoy the patient engagement, treating my patients and optimising them back to health. At times there is a good vibe on the wards and around the hospital which I enjoy.

What attracted you to join the Guild?

I heard about the Guild through some colleagues I worked with. They had joined the Guild themselves and they gave great feedback about the Guild.

How do you feel about being our Nurse of the Month?

I’m really delighted to be Nurse of the Month for International Nurses’ Day. I think it’s a fantastic idea and it makes me feel appreciated for the work I do. I would like to say thank you and anytime I speak to the team on the phone the staff are nothing but bubbly and very kind and helpful.
