We can provide the respite care you need in Scotland

If you’re looking after someone with complex care needs, it’s vital you have a chance to rest and recharge, whether that means taking a break at home or enjoying a holiday. We can provide the respite care you need to make that possible, either at home or away from home.

We can provide nurses or healthcare assistants to provide care tailored to the needs of both adults and children. Our ability to act at short notice, without the commitment of regular bookings, means you can plan respite when you need it most.

We have worked with local authorities, private clients and Case Managers throughout Scotland to provide this service, which can be for a single occasion or regular support.

Case study

We regularly support the family of a child with learning and physical disabilities. Ordinarily, their family are their main carers and so it is essential that they can access respite care on a regular basis. We have a core team of trained nurses, experienced in managing our client’s conditions, who are available to provide respite care whenever the family require them. Our client’s family have commented that our nurses go above and beyond to plan activities with their child and how he thrives in our care.

I am very happy with the service my relative receives from the Guild. The guys who take care of my relative during his respite break do a great job. They are always very pleasant and my relative is happy and always looks well taken care of. The manager also does a great job in dealing with the arrangements and paperwork. All in all, I am very satisfied.
