Are you an Irish nurse currently working in Australia?

Are you planning on returning home to the Republic of Ireland soon but worried about securing a role when you do?  We can help!

The Scottish Nursing Guild recruit nurses to work agency shifts across the Republic of Ireland.  If you’re looking to come back home but want to work more flexibly, yet still earn a high rate of pay, we are the perfect agency for you.

What we’ll need from you

  • You must meet the criteria required for your clinical specialty. Find out what we require from each type of nurses here.
  • You must have retained your NMBI Pin
  • You must have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland
  • You must have completed an Irish Manual Handling course within the last 3 years and Irish Basic Life Support Training within the last 2 years. If either of these trainings have expired, we can book you onto one of our training days.
  • You must complete the required HSE training – Children First, Infection Control, GDPR, Open Disclosure, Medication Management and Putting on and taking of PPE. These can all be completed online via HSeLanD and can be done whilst you’re going through the Guild recruitment process

Why join the Guild?

  • High rates of pay – earn up to €57/hr plus more for bank holidays
  • Paid NMBI fees – we’ll refund your annual NMBI fees if you work a minimum of 18 shifts per year
  • Work where you want – we have shifts available across Ireland in HSE hospitals, private hospitals, care and nursing homes and other community settings.
  • Work when you want – manage your availability via our shift booking app and work whenever you want, whilst still earning high rates of pay. This will allow you to spend quality time with family and friends who you may not have seen in a while.
