You will have the opportunity to travel the country and pick up shifts wherever and whenever suits your schedule. And there is no minimum or maximum shift requirement. Our nurses are known for providing exceptionally high standard of care and, therefore, we offer great benefits to our community nurses.

Some of the benefits we offer include:

  • Reimbursed travel expenses
  • Free annual flu voucher
  • Flexible shifts
  • 24/7 nurse led telephone support

As a community nurse with the Scottish Nursing Guild, you will work temporary shifts for a range of different healthcare providers. Although these shifts are often last-minute, we expect the standard of care to remain high. Therefore, you must be recently experienced. Once you’re registered with us, we offer training opportunities to enhance your skills and stay up to date with best practices.

We offer fantastic flexibility to our community nurses via use of our Quick Nurse app. You can use the app to book shifts that fit your schedule. You can instantly search for community nurse shifts at the touch of a button. The app will automatically check your skills and location to offer you the most relevant shifts available at the time. This enables you to work with us full-time or part-time around a substantive post.
