Summary

We need learning disability nurses for temporary, last minute placements across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Guild learning disability nurses can access work in both NHS and private hospitals, police stations, prisons, custodial services, schools, patient transfer services, community settings and mental health units, as well as supporting clients to live safely in their own homes. You’ll need to work to our high standards and in return you’ll receive full professional support from us.

Requirements

A valid NMC Pin

A willingness to work to our company expectations

A minimum of 6 months experience in the last 2 years working in an acute inpatient, community or supported living setting

A minimum of 12 months experience in the last 18 months working in a complex clinical area (PMLD)

Evidence of PMVA and experience with behaviours that challenge (desirable)

A focus on the promotion of independence if working with under 18s

A focus on the promotion of independence, health and well-being

Experience of non-verbal communication methods
