I’m Pam Selfe and I’m the Compliance Manager for the Guild.

I’m also responsible for the Complaints and Incidents team. I’ve been here since 1990, and before that was a staff nurse in Bristol’s Oncology Centre.

I’ve been involved in many aspects of the company, starting as a placement coordinator, and moving into database management and then compliance. That’s where my expertise lies. My team help our agency workers maintain their compliance, which in turn enables us to provide our clients with outstanding healthcare workers.

The Complaints and Incidents team support workers and clients through any complaint or incident process.

Over the years I’ve seen the company grow from a small family-run business into one of the leading agencies in the country. People have been at the heart of the business from the beginning, and they still are.

1. What do you enjoy most about working for the Guild?

I can honestly say it’s always been the people I work with that have made coming to work a pleasure. We make a great team. Over the years I have also been lucky enough to meet and provide support to the hundreds of highly experienced and dedicated healthcare professionals who have joined our agency.

2. What makes the Guild stand out compared to other agencies?
